Somali PM condemns Sunday Mogadishu café attack
Prime Minister of the federal government of Somalia Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed has condemned the attack at Aroma Café on Sunday evening in which 13 people lost their lives and more 18 others were wounded.
The PM who is currently on a visit to Puntland has sent his deepest condolences to the family and friends of all those who were killed last night following the car bomb in front of the Aroma Café in Mogadishu.
“On behalf of the Somali Federal Government, I am sending heartfelt condolences to the family, friends of all those civilian victims on the day Somalia was celebrating its National Flag 60th anniversary,” said the PM on press statement.
“I strongly condemn this criminal act which took the life of innocent customers and pedestrians and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.” added the press statement.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has also strongly condemned the attack describing it as a sign of desperation from Al Shabaab militant group.
